Just to say my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the use of your thoughtfully resourced accomodation at Castlebay. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and having the Vatersay bus passing our front door was an added bonus. Christine was also very generous in her help, taking our baggage to the I of B Beach Hotel for our Sunday night B&B before we moved on to Skye and home. Our return after 45 years to our honeymoon island was a complete success, much of which was attributable to our accommodation and its convenient location.

Just a quick email to say how much my husband and I enjoyed our stay in your well-equipped cottage on Barra. We loved Barra and Vatersay and the weather was very good, apart from a few thick, misty downpours from the Atlantic!
It has been quite difficult coming back to work after such a tranquil two weeks!

Just to let you know we had a great time on Barra in the delightful Taigh Tangaval. Everything worked fine. We went to one night of the Barrafest which was excellent, especially the Vatersay Boys. Very jovial atmosphere.

Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know how much we enjoyed our week in Barra, staying at Taigh Tangaval.
I took your advice regarding beaches and had a wonderful morning incompetently body-boarding at the large west facing beach on Vatersay; the fact that I was pretty hopeless didn't matter of course - not least because we had the beach more or less to ourselves. Brilliant.
We hope to return at some point in the future.

i would just like to let you know taigh tangaval was a lovley cottage,clean and tidy and all mod cons,we had a great stay,we had a fantastic holiday,we crammed as much in as possible,the time just flew by.the local people were good people,very helpfull and friendly.we saw seals,dolphins and even the golden eagle down at vatasay,what more could you ask for?
